Apologia Homeschool Science is one of the BEST Science Curriculum for High School!

Yes, Apologia homeschool science is very religious, but we've been through this - this guy is SOLID when it comes to his science. He explains things in an easy to understand manner and he makes kids think about some tough topics that they might have never challenged before.

If you have a high school age child and you dismiss Apologia for religious reasons alone - then you've missed the point. I can't help that this curriculum is extremely Christian, I didn't write it, but I can say that I've used it and it is not hard to skip over religious themes you'd rather not bother with.

I sincerely feel, as a scientist, that the good stuff far outweighs the religious overtone. You can take my word for it - or not, but kids that use Apologia for Biology and Chemistry (and up) will most definitely be prepared for college level sciences.

Did I mention:

  1. It is lab oriented
  2. They have it on DVD for the computer
  3. They sell KITS for the labs so you don't have to hunt stuff down for experiments!

Anyway - it is your choice - I'm only here to tell it as I see it and this curriculum makes the grade.

And remember - NO ONE is paying me to say this stuff. These are my sincere opinions PERIOD.
