Everyone Has Doubts About Building a Successful Homeschool High School ExperienceHomeschool High school. That dreaded homeschool word that most of us loathe. If we thought our teaching insecurities were bad when the kids were in 4th grade, how will we ever be good enough to teach HIGH school at home? What do we have to do to get homeschool testing, for SAT's? Will they have a graduation and diploma or what? Do I have to make a homeschool transcript?? HELP! Don't worry and don't pull your hair out just yet. We're gonna go through all the doubts about homeschool high school together, I've got it covered. I see this all the time the homeschool forums or other websites, and the truth is, not everyone IS meant to go all the way. But maybe you're just not sure yet, do you want to ask yourself some honest questions to see if you've got what it takes to graduate a successful homeschooler on to college? Keep reading! Suzie Q started homeschool in the 7th grade so it really wasn't that long before I was faced with the high school question. For me it was never an issue because I was doing my undergrad science degree the entire time leading up to high school so I was pumped. I mean, after all that stinkin' science there was NO way I was gonna let anything stop me from homeschooling my kids through high school. LOL...I can chuckle about it now, sure, but teenagers are hard and being home with one all the time is not always cake. But it has so many potential rewards, I mean thinking back now on your homeschool high school experience, if you've been doing it a while, can't you remember more good times than bad? I know I can, and my sweet little Suzy Q wasn't always an angel. In fact, she's rarely an angel. She tries my patience like nobody's business. But you know that old saying "If I knew then what I know now...boy life would be different!" Not me. I don't have any regrets about how we decided that life was too short to live on other people's terms. I'll gladly make every mistake all over again just to make sure I am in the exact same spot I sit in right now. Everything is an opportunity for learning. But seriously, not everyone is meant to be a homeschool high school teacher, so we gotta get down to the nitty gritty and ask some honest questions to be sure that this is the right thing to do.
