The HSLDA Website has been the leader in homeschooling rights since 1983 and is a non-profit organization that is committed to securing the rights of all homeschoolers. HSDLA was started by, and is still run by, homeschool dads!

DID you know that the HSLDA founders were dads?

Yes, before you read on - The Homeschool Legal Defense Association is an organization that prefers that you join their ranks and send them money. I encourage you to do it, even if when you read their mission statement, you feel they may be "too Christian" for your tastes. The Homeschool Legal Defense Association does NOT discriminate against homeschoolers who are not Christian, in fact, they will even represent non-members if they feel the case would set a precedent that would weaken the rights of HSLDA members.

I have been a member of Homeschool Legal Defense Association for several years, and no I've never needed their help. I just like to know that someone with a law degree has my back when people start to poke their nose into my personal business.

So, I believe in this organization because they have done so much to preserve the rights and freedoms of parents everywhere.
