You Might Be Surprised to Know That Homeschool Math Can Actually Get Easier As the Kids Get Older

Homeschool math gets EASIER??? You probably think I've flipped my lid, but yes...I really have found this to be true thanks entirely to the AWESOME curriculums that just keep coming!

You have so many choices, and for once both Christian and Secular alike will almost certainly say - this is PERFECT!

What makes this subject hard is when you take your child out of school and then realize they were never told to memorize basic facts. That is a struggle, believe me I know. At the end of 6th grade my daughter had a B+ in math. When I pulled her out in 7th I soon realized she had never memorized her times tables.

I'm sorry - but how can you have a B+ in math and not know what 9x7 is off the top of your head. Not possible...unless of course the kid is in public school. And this was no horrible "underfunded" (Hah - I'd take that $8,000 a kid they spend) public school, it was actually in a fairly good district.

So the best case scenario for math is that you're starting from the beginning and don't have to fix the public school's mistakes.

Another issue is the curriculum they use in the PS. Remember when I mentioned Constructivist math? Well, they actually DO use that crap. CRAP, I must stress this. It is CRAP. Since WHEN did the right answer stop being important in MATH?

I don't know about you but I would like my drug chemist to know EXACTLY how many milligrams per kilogram can go into the drug before it kills someone. I mean are my expectations a tad high??

I don't think so. Because I am a scientist I also take math very seriously. With the proper mathematical education your child's possibilities are ENDLESS. Without one - they will see nothing but limits.

That is because when a child is comfortable performing calculations they realize that opportunities that once seemed impossibly out of reach are now possible...opportunities like veterinary medicine, human medicine, business, engineer, or scientist.

If your child gets the proper homeschool math education they will be able to soar!

And the best thing is - we have TWO Grand Champion curriculums to choose from! BOTH can be used by seculars and Christians without issue! And BOTH go from early years to high school! YAY!

It really doesn't get any better than homeschool math. (I am such a nerd.)
