All Parents Eventually Want to Know How to Homeschool High School

The most important thing to ask yourself before wondering how to homeschool high school is this: Do you really want to teach high school?

That answer has to be yes, yes, and more yes!

How do you know if it's a real yes, though? What if it is just wishful thinking? Well, what's wrong with wishful thinking? You can get away with pipe dreams if you have what it takes, really you can.

So what would one wishful thinker do if she REALLY wanted another 4 years with her kid but wasn't sure she had what it takes to teach homeschool at home with just her own high school level education?

How about an online homeschool option? How about something like Calvert Homeschool, or K-12 Homeschool, or even a regular online high school that isn't specifically for homeschoolers?

You see the options are there if you really want to do this! But there are some things to REALLY think about before making the decision.

First of all, do you love to learn? You have to be willing to RE-learn everything you got wrong when you went through high school if you want to be the best help for your child.

Don't click away - this is not so hard if you really love to learn.

You've re-learned pre-algebra I'm sure, you've re-learned all about those dumb layers of molten earth under our feet, and you stood there scratching your head during more science experiments than you can count, yet the darn balloon inflated didn't it??

And I bet you even guessed that a gas was produced before you had to reach for the manual ; )

But you made it, right?

The kids made it, right?

This is no different, learning how to homeschool high school is a process you can learn. A one day at a time process just like everything else and anyone can do one day at a time, can't they? Well, I mean I do admit that there have been days, not in homeschool but other things, where I thought to myself "Self, I really can't do this day anymore. I'm just done." Then what?
