Simple Schooling 12 Days of Freebies!

The Tenth Day of Freebies is a high school Poetry unit study that compares and contrasts Edgar Allen Poe's The Bells with Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's Christmas Bells. Lots of vocabulary activities in this one so they can fully appreciate the extent of Poe's talent with words and Longfellow's concerns. In addition, there are two interactives that concentrate on how they are similiar and yet the same. Two great, highly readable poems that tie in with the season, yet have complicated meanings for older kids to decipher. Have them read them outloud to get the full musicality of both.
