Real Science 4 Kids Delivers Exactly What it Says - REAL Science! Some parents and kids can handle the concepts and some can't. The Real Science 4 Kids curriculum states that it is written for 4-8 grades, but in my personal opinion it is a little advanced for 4th grade. The chemistry concepts are very abstract and younger kids can't grasp those types of ideas just yet. 6th grade would be perfect in my opinion. Parents beware though, it is HANDS-ON! I mean in a big way. That is good, Little Moe and I enjoyed Chemistry a lot - but I've completed a Masters Degree in toxicology, so I've been around the chemistry building blocks a time or two. It is a little bit time consuming too. They do sell kits and that is helpful and it does have a nice parent guide and workbook, so that is a HUGE plus in my book, but if you're super busy and not scientifically oriented, you might want to look for something with a little less prep time. All in all this program is, once again, SOLID. And I recommend it for that reason. Plus, the labs are lots of fun...
